Twilight Hike

Join us for a relaxing twilight hike under the big, Texas sky. We’ll stop along the trail and listen to the sounds of nature as the sun is setting. If we’re lucky, we’ll see some of the nocturnal wildlife that live in the park that start to stir around the twilight hours. We’ll take moments to stop and look up as the first stars or planets appear. This hike will be guided by one of our nature guides and will be about 1-mile in distance.

If you bring a flashlight, please use only red lights along the trails (white lights for emergencies) as the white lights disrupt the circadian rhythm of the animals as well as our own night vision. Once our eyes adjust to the dark, and a white light is illuminated, it takes 30-40 minutes to reacquire our night vision.

Please wear comfortable walking shoes or hiking boots. Please bring your own water.
